North Texas Diabetes & Endocrinology of Flower Mound is adding an Advanced Practice Provider to our care team. The ideal candidate has 5 years of experience with endocrinology/diabetes at the APP level.

Responsibilities

• Provides medical care and treatment to patients under the supervision of a physician

• Performs physical examinations and preventative health measures with the collaboration of a physician

• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assist patients’ clinical challenges and health care needs

• Records physical findings, and formulates treatment plans, based on patients’ conditions

• Discusses cases with physician to prepare comprehensive treatment plans

• Submits treatment plans and goals for patients’ for periodic review by a physician

• Prescribes or recommends medications or other forms of treatment

• Other duties as assigned

Skills

• Experience in patient care management

• Experience using EHR systems

• Strong community health interest

• Maintain patient confidentiality

• Broad knowledge of medications, side effects, and contraindications

• In-depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best practices

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Compassionate and approachable

Education and Experience

• Advanced degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

• Licensed to practice in the State of Texas with no restrictions or discipline

• Current DEA/DPS registration

• At least two (2) years of practice in endocrinology/diabetes, five (5) years preferred
