Clinic Nurse - Allen, TX
North Texas Diabetes is adding an experienced Clinic Nurse to our Endocrinology clinic in Allen, TX.
What will you do?
Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in the patient’s chart.
Assist the medical provider in exam rooms.
Give instructions to patients as instructed by the medical provider.
Ensure all related reports, labs, and information is filed is available in the patient's medical record prior to their appointment.
Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies.
Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to the patient, medical provider, or pharmacy.
Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to the medical providers.
Collect and tag specimens exactly as outlined in each medical requisition
Properly package each specimen and ensure that every specimen is delivered to the laboratory on time
Serve as a resource for clinical staff
What are we looking for?
LVN or LPN in Texas with no previous discipline
Experience working in a specialty office, including drawing blood and administering injections.
Understanding of medical terminology including commonly prescribed medications.
Excellent patient service and patient relationship skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Experience using Electronic Medical Record systems. (EMRs).
Bilingual a plus
What are the details?
This is a full-time position.
Hours are Monday - Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Fridays, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Compensation is dependent on experience.
