EDUCATION
Dr. Chuang earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Endocrinology Fellowship at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, where he trained in both inpatient and outpatient endocrinology, including care at UNM Hospital and the VA Hospital in Albuquerque. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Medical City of Fort Worth. His academic background also includes a master’s degree in biomedical science from the University of North Texas Health Science Center and a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry from Rice University.
He is board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology.
Before specializing in endocrinology, Dr. Chuang practiced as a hospitalist for six years in a 320-bed community hospital in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. This extensive inpatient experience strengthens his ability to manage complex and multisystem medical conditions

Dr. Chuang is an active member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the Endocrine Society, the American College of Osteopathic Internists, the American Medical Association, and the American Osteopathic Association.
AREAS OF INTEREST
Dr. Chuang treats the full spectrum of endocrine disorders, including diabetes mellitus (Type 1, Type 2, and complex insulin management), continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and insulin pump therapy, thyroid disorders and thyroid nodules, pituitary and adrenal disorders, osteoporosis and metabolic bone disease, obesity and medical weight management, and hormone replacement therapy
RESEARCH & ACADEMIC CONTRIBUTIONS
Dr. Chuang has presented nationally on complex endocrine cases, including thyroid disease, hypocalcemia, and metabolic bone disorders. His work has been published in the Journal of Investigative Medicine, contributing to advancements in endocrinology and metabolism.
